Dazed And Confused review

SHORT STORY OF THE WEEK:

‘Snorri & Frosti’ by Benjamin Myers
[Galley Beggar Press]

I don’t read enough short stories, and some of the best writing of the twentieth-century falls into that category: Carver, Johnson, et al. Myers’ Snorri and Frosti has shades of both, but also of Cormac McCarthy’s much-underrated Sunset Limited. Two old guys shooting the shit – it shouldn’t be brilliant, but it really is.

My new novella is called 'Snorri & Frosti'

Hello everyone.

I am pleased to announce that I have a new novella I have coming out entitled Snorri & Frosti.

It is about two elderly brothers in a cabin, up a remote hill, in a Northern European country. It is snowing. One of them has a headache.

Snorri & Frosti will be out in late July 2013 (initially) as a download-only release, as part of the all-new Singles Club by excellent indie publisher Galley Beggar Press. It launches this week and all stories are available for a mere £1. Others writers include Tony O’Neill and Michael Stewart.

Full details are here.

A select few advance copies of are available for review. Please let me know if you think you can offer coverage.

Thank you.
